Consultation
At Galt Dermatology & Concierge Medicine, your consultation and treatments will always be with a board-certified physician. During your initial visit, we’ll assess your skin’s current state and discuss your goals before making any treatment recommendations. After reviewing any questions you have, we can also typically offer injections that day.
Injections
Your dermatologist will begin by sanitizing your skin and instructing you to make specific facial expressions so we can precisely target your problem areas, using your muscles as markers. We’ll then inject the pre-determined amount of Dysport through ultra-fine needles. Once your injections are complete, we’ll provide an ice pack to reduce any swelling and you can return to your routine as usual—just remember to avoid exercising and wearing makeup that day.
Follow Up
Most patients notice the positive effects of Dysport within a week of their injections. Your results will continue to improve over the next 7 to 10 days, lasting for 3 to 4 months. How long Dysport lasts depends on your body’s metabolism, so your doctor will work with you to schedule your maintenance appointments accordingly.
