Dr. Miguel Villacorta is a distinguished board-certified dermatologist at Galt Dermatology & Concierge Medicine, where he established South Florida’s first direct-care dermatology practice. His diverse background, with roots in Miami and rural Spain, ignited his interest in medicine, leading him from electrical engineering at the University of Miami to earning an osteopathic degree and a Master of Public Health at Nova Southeastern University. There, he delved into significant skin cancer research, earning recognition as a Young Innovator from the American Academy of Medical Entrepreneurs. Before his medical career, Dr. Villacorta contributed to NASA’s space shuttle program and UPS’s business development, showcasing his diverse expertise. 

His advanced dermatology expertise was honed during his internship and residency at Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale, culminating in receiving the Resident of the Year award. This period marked the growth of a substantial research portfolio, with Dr. Villacorta presenting at major conferences and publishing extensively.
